Helen Louise Crawford of New Castle, born September 15, 1925 went to be with her Lord on July 19, 2022, but lives on in our hearts. Survived by her two daughters, Linda Oiler (Joe) of New Castle and Nancy Ellett (Rick) of Smith Mountain Lake, three sisters Emma Walton of Richmond, Carula Hodges of Buchanan, Darline Trail (Leo) of Richmond, one brother Carl Booth (Gerri) of Georgia, three grandchildren, Chris Rose (Jessie) of New Castle, Amy Rose Witmer (Phil) of Smith Mountain Lake, and Mary Beth Davis (Rick) of Lynchburg, six great grandchildren, Cooper Rose and Madalyn Rose of New Castle, Brody Witmer of Smith Mountain Lake, Luther Davis, Anthea Davis, and Alfred Davis of Lynchburg, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, local friends and special friends from Berkshire. Proceeded in death by her husband, Ashby Crawford, and her daughter, Louise Obenchain and son-in-law Percy (Mack) Obenchain, her mother Lilly Pearl Booth, father Alec Booth, sisters Hazel Booth, Earline Hodges, Shirley Atkins, and Virginia Crowder. Visitation will be Sunday, July 24, 2022, from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Paitsel Funeral Home, 286 Main Street, New Castle, Virginia, with a service at Paitsel Funeral Home at 3:00 P.M. with Kenny Davis officiating then proceeding to the graveside at Crawford Memorial Cemetery 17 Sage Brush Lane, New Castle, beside Paxton Chapel Church.
