Steven Allen Carper, Jr. Steven Allen Carper, Jr., 63 of New Castle, went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2024, at his home. He is preceded in death by his son, Jesse Allen Carper; mother, Edith Dawn Carper; grandparents, Roy & Bea Carper and Lawrence & Beatrice Bostic. He is survived by his loving wife Donna Mills Carper; father, Steve Carper, Sr.; brother, Robert “Bob” Carper (Michelle); sisters, Melissa Wrenn (Timmy) and Carolyn Harless (Joseph); many special nieces and nephews; special daughter, Brianna Herman; and special grandchild, Ripp Peters. He retired from Roanoke County after over 30 years of service. Steve was the owner of Dominion Electrical Service, where he met many loyal customers. He loved bear hunting, farming and bluegrass music. He was in many bands over the years, including the Locust Mtn. Boys. The family wants to thank Carilion Hospice, especially Megan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Castle Fire Dept. and Rescue Squad. The family would also like to thank all the family and friends for helping us with the farm and dogs. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Paitsel Funeral Home with Pastor Raymond Christian officiating. Interment will follow at Huffman Memorial Park.
