Cynthia Ann “Cindy” (Dineen) McAllister Cynthia Ann McAllister, known affectionately as Cindy, passed away on July 21, 2024, in Salem, Virginia, at the age of 59. Born on November 20, 1964, in Ronceverte, West Virginia, she was a cherished daughter of John and Carolyn Dineen. Cindy dedicated her life to caring for others, both professionally and personally. She graduated from Greenbrier East High School, followed by earning an associate degree in nursing from Virginia Western Community College and a bachelor's degree from Liberty University. Her career as a registered nurse at Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare was marked by compassion, dedication, and a genuine love for helping those in need. Her kindness extended beyond her professional life into her personal interests and activities. Cindy was an avid camper, loved visiting the beach, and enjoyed browsing through flea markets. Family gatherings were particularly dear to her, reflecting her huge kind heart and caring nature. Cindy was a devout member of the Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy and Craig County Community Church, where she found spiritual fulfillment and community. She leaves behind a loving family: her husband, David McAllister; her children, Brian McAllister (Monica, Madison, Mason, Baylor), Dylan McAllister (Lauren and Micah), and Sadie McAllister (Bailey); her parents, John and Carolyn Dineen; siblings, Shelly Webb (Tim), John Dineen, and Chris Dineen (Tobra); and numerous extended family members and friends. Cindy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jerry and Doris Dineen, and Edward and Alease Robinson. A memorial service to celebrate Cindy's life will be held at the Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy on August 3rd, 2024, at 2:00 PM.
